Process of making almonds in chocolate:
Our chocolate is made only from high-quality, proven ingredients. Each piece is carefully prepared with love, preferably from Czech ingredients. Before the almonds can attain their final form, the chocolate must go through a production process called conching, the goal of which is to homogenize and aerate the cocoa and give it its typical fine texture. The next step is to apply chocolate directly to the roasted almonds in the draining drum, where chocolate is sprayed on the almonds in layers, so that all almonds have a uniform shape. As soon as enough layers have been sprayed on the almonds, they are coated in spices. The green powder is obtained by crushing dried Moringa leaves. The almonds are coated in the powder, left to dry and then packed into sachets and tin containers with the design by Joe Muczka jr. From Slatinky, where they are produced, they travel directly to you to enjoy the unique taste in which the best ingredients are wed with dedicated craftmanship.
Interesting facts about chocolate:
Christopher Columbus was the first who brought cocoa beans to Europe, but nobody paid them much attention since they looked very similar to Spanish almonds and Europeans didn’t like the bitter taste. Cocoa was first consumed as a hot drink made from cocoa powder and water. The first hot chocolate was born when Spanish monks added honey to the traditional recipe of Aztec drink that soon became very popular among Europeans. Cocoa beans, the raw material for making chocolate, are seeds found within fruit of the cocoa tree that can grow up to 8 meters tall. The tree can be found in hot and moist climates at an altitude of 500 m. The largest cocoa producers include Ivory Coast, Indonesia, Ghana, Brazil, Cameroon and Ecuador.
